A room that's different to the other rooms in the house, a fantasy room, themed in the spirit of fun and adventure?
PALAIS DE CINÈMA
Based on our interpretation of an Art Nouveau style 1930 Paris Cinema, but with state of the art technology behind the scenes, this project in as far as we know unique, in as much as we are the only company in the UK to have a demonstration room of this sort.
The great importance of the Art Nouveau movement was that it encouraged, artists, architects and designers to throw off the shackles of the past. After 1900 they were able to develop fresh original styles, which were completely devoid of any traditionalism or revolutionsim. Art Nouveau was very important in the development of modern design; it was a period, which witnessed great beauty, startling originality and clearness of vision.
Concept, design and build
All work was undertaken by ourselves without using outside designers, or contractors apart from the services of a local artist.
Other themes
We appreciate Art Nouveau is not everyone’s cup of tea, so here are a few ideas of possible themes.
Space Ship, Pirate Ship, American Den, Roman Forum, Greek Temple, Tuscan sunset, 1960 funky pad, Library, Minimalist, Contemporary, Movie (sci-fi, classic, western) or Period style i.e. Edwardian etc., etc., etc.
We can work with your own designer/architect/lighting consultant etc., or just leave it all to us.
